wait time for a Zum

Hi All,
Does anyone know if the wait time for a single neck is the same as a double?
I believe the time to be about 14 months?

I was told 18 months ('04) and it was delivered in 14.

However long, it will be worth it. I couldn't be happier with my Hybrid.

Billy, it would be best to call Bruce & ask him what delay on an S10 or SD 10

in any case, patience is a virtue
& Zums are well worth the wait

Guys, I'd like to put my 2 cents in here for what it's worth....

Generally speaking, waiting times on ZumSteels can be anywhere from 18 months to two years. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not speaking for Bruce here, but rather offering infomation from several years of experience in ordering ZumSteel guitars. These times can be a bit less than that, however, for that to happen here's a couple of things I suggest to keep in mind.

If you have an order in with Bruce for a new ZumSteel, and you have a question or concern about something in particular that would be important to your guitar, then it might be a good idea to call Bruce to discuss that. On the other hand, if your question is about "how much longer will it be" then I would strongly suggest that you do NOT call Bruce about that, as all that will really result in doing is taking time away from his work in building guitars. This might not sound like much if it's just "one guy" asking this question, unfortunately, it's usually a lot of guys calling and asking that, and hence.... it adds up to a whole lot of time on the phone, and that time spent talking on the phone adds up to less time at the bench building guitars. In essence, this can eventually effect everybodys "wait time."

On the other hand, if you have ordered a new ZumSteel through me, and you have any questions or concerns about it, then I encourage you to please email or call me with whatever questions you may have and I will provide you with a prompt answer to the best of my ability.

In any event, I believe this to be good advice to all who have ordered, or who are considering ordering a new ZumSteel guitar. It is a bit of a wait, and that is told up front to everyone, but like Crowbear and many others have said.... it is indeed well worth the wait. Just ask anyone you see playing a ZumSteel, and I believe all will confirm this.

Yea it is anywhere from 12 to 18 months. It depends a lot on his schedule. I am not talking for Bruce either, but you never know when He might have a cancelation on a steel when he does it just moves the orders up and he gets it to you quicker. but believe me yes The wait is well worth it. Once you set down at a Zum you know you have played the best. I am not advertising for Bruce but he realy knows his stuf andthey are well worth the wait.
