my emmons came to me with an F# to G raise on the first string, but not on the the 7th. i miss that change and am looking to add it on.

looks like you'd have to remove the cross shaft to slide on new bell cranks, which i'm sure i could do but it'd put me out of commission for a few days.

has anyone had experience with the instant on cranks like this

where is the best source for raise rods and hooks?

Yes, I have experience. They are made by Clem Schmitt (sp?) who literally “wrote the book” on push pull repair. I’ve used these “instant-on” bell cranks and they work as described. As a matter of fact, this post reminded me to order several more.

I wasn’t aware of these things and surprised I haven’t seen them on guitars as it seems they would save a lot of headache.

Clem Schmitz is the best! You can tell by the company he keeps.

I’ve used them too. They work perfectly and are easy to install.

Count me in... they work great. Mine is made from a 4 hole Legrande puller with a p/p swivel, and it works perfectly.
