My Fessy SD-12 is built on Jerry's standard D-10 size frame. It's 33 1/2" from endplate to endplate.

There is NO "correct distance". The Sho~Buds were 24" and Emmons is 24 1/4". The non-pedal Fenders were 22 1/2", 24 1/2" and 26". Excel builds guitars from 22" to 25 or 26".

It's just a case of different strokes for different folks!

Fessenden S10 with 2.5 in. pad is 32.5 in. The width of the neck is only 8.5 in. This is a handsome guitar.
