This is a little different, but I ended up with an extra Rains body a few years ago. When I was touring full time, I played Rains guitars and I had Gary take the guts out of one and put it in a one of a kind custom body, which I will play until the day I die. I ended up with this extra, primer grey body.
It was a single neck with a pad and it's it great condition bc it actually never got played much before it's conversion.
If you are interested, let me know. I don't know what something like this would be worth, but I'll be fair bc I don't need it. cash, amps, tools, guns, etc....[img]

Alan, you can get all the parts from Curtis Hogue. I don’t have his number but Mark Greenway does. |

What is the dimensions. I have some end plates. I don't know if they will work. 11 inches wide. 5 1/2 to middle with 1/4 in stepdown. |

After building a few steels myself I would say the foundation of a pedal steel build is having the end plates since most people can do simple carpenter work and aluminum casting or machining aluminum is beyond their scope of knowledge however if the end plates can be located then this body would make a great start on a fine pedal steel. I owned a Rains for a while and they are very fine guitars. |
