Curious what's the average height/clearance from floor to bottom if steel as the industry standard?
I assume there is a standard.

I would be surprised if there is an actual standard. I don't have exact measurements, but the Mullen I got a year ago is about an inch taller than the Carter I got in 1999.

I don't think there is a standard height set for Steel Guitars. I know on Excels specs. they list rear apron height from floor to back apron on the Superb 12 as 25 3/8". My GFI Ultra 12U is 26 5/8" floor to rear apron height. I know on some new guitar orders one of the specs. is guitar height. They make the height whatever you want. Some makers list raise kits for steels, Leg extentions and pedal rod extentions or new pedal rods to raise their guitars. It is important to have a guitar fit you for comfortable playing.
