Any idea what these parts were intended for? A few sets of 8 screws with springs and a mounting plate.

Possibly a pedal steel, although it's almost impossible to tell from that photo. If you had a ruler or something to provide scale it might be helpful.

Sierra made an after-market add-on "Tune-able Split" unit that looks alot like these.
You attach that unit right at the end of the changer, then those screws define the new "Stop" for the lowest lowered note, and you then tune the "Split" at the endplate.
By any chance can you send me one to try on one of my non-split Universals?

These were bought by a friend in an estate sale- just gathering info for him- apparently the previous owner had some steel building experience.
