When the knob is pushed in you have more bass. When pulled out it gives more treble tone.

UNLESS!! YOU HAVE THE MIRACLE AUDIO CONVERSION:
HERES WHAT THEY SAY
"pre 4 - 6
post 4 - 8
low +9 to +12
mid -3 at 800
high 0 to +3
presence 0 to + 3
Use these as a starting point. don't forget to try the "pull Bright" switch, it now sounds like a Fender bright switch.

I would suspect with the Pv Mods in your Nashville 400 it would be about the same.
