Hi
My LL2 1992 Emmons toggle switch is definitely broken. Does anyone knows where to buy a new one ?
I've made a temporary repair but i can't disable tone control knob, anyone for explanation and/or schematic ?
Thanks for your help

Mat, I buy those at advance auto over here. You can probably find one at any auto parts store.

In France it's less simple...
It's probably a simple on/off toogle like this:

It's a DPDT, center on switch.
I'm sure there are electronics supply companies in France.
Also, it's a fairly standard switch common in regular guitars.

Mat,

Unless you have something other than a standard tone circuit (two single coil pickups) all you need is a simple SPST on-off switch, with only two logs to solder the two wires to.

Mat,

Doug Palmer or Lane Grey could probably tell you the proper terminology for the switch you need.

Here are some typical Emmons circuits.

If your switch is original to the guitar, I would guess that you must have dual coil pickups and the sketch on the bottom would be the one to go by. The switch simply selects one coil or the other for each pickup (depending on which position the neck selector switch is in). The tone circuit can not be defeated (turned off) with this circuit. The pair of lugs in the middle are common and the toggle has two positions that control the two pairs of lugs on each end and thus switches between one pair or the other.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong...
