Just wondering if anyone has tried this and if so could you post it? I'm thinking of an 8 string tuning where the pedals/levers give you chord shapes from standard 6 string guitar, Probably Low E to high E......

Dave, I don't do that per se, but I do lower 10 on my A peal from B to A. That gives me more guitar like lower strings to work with on rockier songs. So, with A+B pushed , my 10-8-6 grip gives me A-E-A, kind of like a six-string guitar with strings 5-4-3 with open A and fret 2 on strings 4 and 3.
Not quite what you're looking for, but a slight step in that direction.
p.s. I'm doing some playing with Dean Harlem. Love the track you recorded on his CD a while back! |
