I've just received a 'search alert' from Gumtree UK. There's an advert just posted for a 1960 Fender S10, £750. It's not for me, but it looks in great condition and might be of interest to someone who doesn't watch Gumtree?

Fender didn't make an S-10 until 1964 (maybe late 1963?)--the model 800.

Yes, the (10-string) Model 800 was introduced in April of 1964. I still have the original Fender literature announcing it's debut! Cool

But the steel advertised for sale in Rainham is actually a mid 1970s (rodded, pull-release) Fender student model, built by Sho~Bud.
