| i need a humbucker or even a single coil with a lot of response. this is for an older 12/string bmi?....thanks jack....(anyone got anything for sale?) |

Let me throw out a couple other options FWIW:
If you like the pickup you have, but it is just not putting out a hot enough signal, you can run a Lil Izzy PLUS which will boost the output by 6db, which is quite a bump. plus, you will get a clearer sound.
If you are getting a hum from a single coil pickup, you can use an Electro Harmonix DeBugger to e!imitate the hum. As far as a new pickup, my advice is to have Jerry Wallace make you a sing!e coil. I am biased because I don't like humbuckers. I am speaking from experience on all three suggestions. Good luck with whatever direction you decide to go.

| george, thanks for the info. my pickup doe,s not have any hum. the main problem is that it is wound to about....14.5....i would like to find a used pickup if possible. i am using julian tharpes setup on a 12/string....jack |

Jack, either an alumitone or if you could find a Gene Turner Powerboost Pickup. I have a friend with an alumitone in his BMI SD-12 and a LW amp ,it has the bite of a PP Emmons.
