Pat,
I had one of those when they 1st came out. I used it together with a Fender bass amp and got a really good sound from the setup.
Of course, over the years, it got sold but some years ago Fender reissued it.
Are you interested in an original or a reissue?

FYI, an original in good playable condition with original parts goes for $650 and up.

Danelectro had one out in the 60's.
Reverbnation had one for $473.
I woudnt pay that.
I didn't see a Fender. |

I remember looking for one of these Fender Reverbs in the mid-seventies. They were hard-to-find and spendy back then. I think that if I were looking for one now, I would be considering the Modkitdiy:

The kit looks like it is for a rack mount, but if you can build the kit, you can probably build a cabinet for it.

Don't know if you're handy, but a lot of folks are talking about the "Surfy Bear" unit. I plan to build one this year, but you can also get one assembled. They extrapolate on the 5G15 circuit, but with FET transistors instead of tubes, the samples I've heard sound pretty good!

You might check with Ken Fox he had posted not long ago that he was going to be building some of his version of the vintage reverbs. His would be hand wired like the vintage Fenders but with new parts and Kens improvements. IMHO the best of both worlds.

That is what Tim Van Tassel did with the Van Amps Sole-Mate. It also sounds pretty good -- the closest I've heard to the old Fender tube units.
Unfortunately, the Sole-Mate is no longer in production, and used units are getting spendy. But still cheaper than a vintage Fender.
