8 string baritone weissenborn by Lazy River Guitars. I had this guitar custom built in 2016 for a project, but I’ve since built a long-scale neck for a dobro. It’s a little redundant keeping this. It’s too nice of an instrument to just leave in the case. It has a 27.5†scale and 8 strings! The spacing from string to string is a bit wider than standard 8 string spacing, so it’s more comfortable if you’re used to 6 strings. Lots of possibilities. The pickup was custom made by Pete Biltoft of Vintage Vibe Guitars to render a sound like the Sunrise magnetic pickups, where the pickup “moves†with the guitar. Both the guitar and the pickup have great tone.
I have not performed with this guitar and have only used it at home/at practice spaces. It’s in excellent condition. In the 7th picture, please note a small dent in the wood (this is the only outlying thing). There are some light pick marks on the top underneath and around the soundhole (just normal wear). It's currently strung with only 6 strings and dropped to a low C (CGCEGC)
$1400 and will split shipping with the buyer (lower 48 buyers, that is).
