A vintage "Little Buddy Pro" pedal steel made by the Thompson Guitar Co. in Michigan, approximately 1960's-1970's. I have had it for about a year and have since installed a new pickup for the E9 front neck (George L) and converted the back neck into a six string lap steel w/o pedals (High G, dobro tuning). Includes hard case with extra handles, all original parts, tone bar and I'll throw in an Ernie Ball VP Jr. volume pedal.
I'd like to get $850 CAD (shipping paid by buyer, I am in Vancouver, Canada) which is what I paid for it, not including the George L pickup + new springs installed. However, I am open to reasonable offers.
The E9 neck I only have the A + B pedals engaged, however you could use the C pedal too. There are spots to use a right knee lever and a left knee lever, however even when replacing the springs they wouldn't return to there original positions when engaged. Fixing anything to do with that would really entail a complete overhaul of all the internal mechanisms.
Would be an ideal guitar for someone just getting into lap/pedal steel and not wanting to initially invest a whole ton of cash, or someone looking for a project guitar. I think you could make it a totally playable D-10 using the body as your base and then just rebuilding/replacing the parts accordingly.
This is a demo of how it sounds now: https://youtu.be/fKDbIW1SW3k
Thanks for looking,
