My vote is for the real thing. The quality of the case and the chrome plated horseshoe pickup look like original Rickenbacker to me. Did they sell them with non-adjustable legs or do you think they were added on later? Looks like it might have been repainted but it's hard to tell from the picture. Here's a similar model on ebay:

Yes, Rickenbacker, late 50s, early 60s. Probably repainted.
