Has anyone ever tried a Lamar Double 10 8 and 5 steel guitar and how well do they play, are the pedals smooth, is it easy to adjust the knee levers? what are the pickups sound quality? |

Lamar is probably one of the most overlooked steels on the market. Year after year people buy up dozens of the major brands an totally ignor one of the best engineered, superbly crafted, steels available. I have a custom built Lamar U12...had it for a 1 1/2 now and it stands shoulder to shoulder aganist my Sierra and Fulawka (some cases even better).

Hello Tom, thanks Tom for the information, I saw pictures of them at the website and noticed the knee levers run down the back of the guitar like the MSA classic's did which I like very much, they are not located in the middle of the guitar where they are hard to reach or where you would need a flag on a knee lever to reach them, and a cross rod support bar runs down the middle of the guitar adding better support, how smooth is the pedals and do you have pictures of your single 12 universal? |
