I have Pitchlab Pro on my ipad and , until recently on my android phone. Recently got a new phone and it appears that PitchLab pro is no longer available for download. So looking for a good emergency tuner that has sweeteners for pedal steel, or that I can program in myself.

(I have a StroboPlus HD which works fine for this .
Also have an older Stroboclip which does not have any provisions for sweeteners. I see that there is an new stroboclip available with sweeteners but doesnt seem to support pedal steel.

So looking for a decent android app I can use in place of PitchLab pro, or if someone has information on sweeteners with the new stroboclip on pedal steel guitar.

Thanks
K

I just googled Pitchlab Pro and came up with several sites where it's apparently available for download (android).

Do a search and see if those sites work for you.

You may have to adjust your settings to allow third-party apps.
I personally use Cleartune, set at ET, and just remember my offsets; tuning the C#s to -17 and so on.

Lane is correct. It's not available on Google Play but, usually not an issue and the risk is low.

I got the Cleartune. Seems pretty easy to read. I usually tune the 5ths a little sharp and the 3rds a little flat with a "regular" tuner without a numerical scale. Since Cleartune has a scale, I could at least have a more repeatable result. I will use the table shown and see how close the results compare with my StoboPlus HD, which is set to an E9 sweetening. Also Cleartune does have different temperaments but nothing for steel. That is nuts so I use the equal temperament and adjust with the scale.

BTW, while delving into this subject, I am little confused, what is the difference between the temperament and the sweetening. I thought they were the same thing

Thanks

Sweetening is just another word for the steel-specific temperaments we use.
You'll find the Peterson and Newman numbers are very close to the Buddy Emmons chart, shown here
