Hey steel guitar friends, wanted to ask you guys for some advice. I have a beautiful Star S10 with a standard 3P 5 knees. I am thinking of adding some more pedals and possibly one more vertical KL (RKV) my LKV takes my 5 and 10th B to A#. I am thinking of possibly adding the Franklin pedal. Which lowers the 5,6 & 10 string a whole note. I am extremely impressed with the way Randy beavers play is the E9 tuning. During my research of some of his changes, he surprisingly plays a very standard E9 set up, so
I am thinking that with the Franklin pedal, it will cover Randy‘s fifth string lower that he has on a KL. I wanted to see what your opinion was on this? And also if you were going to add some more standard poodles to a S 10 what would they be? Thank you [/u] |

Cameron, I don't know your copedent, but I lower the 6th string on my RKL and my 5&10 a whole tone on my vertical lever simultaneously to get the Franklin change. I would never put that change unless you use it a lot. Hope you find this helpful. _________________ Jonathan Reynolds

Thanks for your input J, I play a standard Emmons set up. According to Bobby Lee’s website I guess the only change I have on there that is not listed is the left knee vertical that I have . |
