Would like to sell, dont know what its worth.
ser # 0027 stamped on end plate ( see pic ).
3 knee levers and 9 pedals ( pedal 9 is not connected ).
very nice looking and sounding guitar.
guitar was refinished long ago, tuners replaced with Grover tuners but with 2 different models ( see pic ).
only issue with finish is 2 screw holes ( see pic ).
fret boards replaced but E9 fret board came unglued
SWITCHES: when both switches are pointing out both pickups are off ( dont know if this is correct ) otherwise all other position work.
pedals and knee levers work but IMO need an experts touch,
they just seem stiff to me compared to my S-10.
Case (see pic ) is very bad condition, probably worthless.
would appreciate any ideas on what its worth or offers,
I know its hard to tell without sitting at the guitar.

Hi jim
I was hoping someone with ZB expertise could suggest an approximate value.
I would be happy to recover my investment as the guitar is just taking up space but not at the cost of dissapointing a buyer. |

I'm in UK so this is not for me (I got a Sierra D-11). But here's a plug for a D-11. I like a top G on C6th - with 11 strings I can have that and a D; best of all worlds!
The extended lower range on E9th speaks fr itself. _________________ Tony Russell Davis |

Many thanks to all for their responses.
Asking 1000.plus shipping as that is what I have in the guitar.
Have not weighed it ( my wife got mad and threw out the bathroom scale )
but Im guessing close to 100Lb in the Case.
from the information kindly sent to me that is more than a fair price.
Thanks |

That's a great price for someone with the acumen to take this on.
Is this an early-'70s? Not earlier than that with this logo, surely?
It's very much like my old one.

HI Roger
Dont know for sure.
J.R Rose was kind enough to send me some information and from what I understood it may be 69 or earlier Greg Jones would be the one to ask about ser #
The ZB custom logo was replaced when the guitar was refinished.

Roger, It is more than likely it is a 1969 model. My long time friend Jim Florence had #0017, D-11. Our fellow forum friend Greg Jones has written a lot about the history of ZB and has said that when Tom brought the company and moved it to Ca. he restarted the serial number's to start with 0000. Jim had ordered his from Zane but he sold the company and Tom filled the order and Jim picked it up from Tom in Ca. in 1969. And yes, this price that Don has on this is very low and it is a good looking guitar. Oh, to roll back the hands of time. J.R. Rose _________________ NOTHING..Sold it all. J.R. Rose |

Thanks, guys. I was mainly going by the logo. If it's been replaced then it's no help.
Nice looking guitar! _________________ Roger Rettig - Emmons D10, JCH D10, Quilter TT-12, B-bender Teles and old Martins.
