Since your Stringmaster-style instruments are wired Fender-style with a volume, tone, and blend control, would you be so kind as to direct an electronic nimrod, such as myself, to a proper wiring diagram?

I have been struggling for months with the wiring on this old rescue Gibson Ultratone in an attempt to wire it up like a Stringmaster:

I have been using this diagram from Seymour Duncan:

I have double- and triple- checked my work, and it just does not operate the way it's supposed to. It's getting to the point that I'm considering changing my middle name to "Frustration." Thanking you in advance for any assistance you can offer.

By the way, I purchased one of your Stringmaster control cover plates to use as a routing template for the pickup mounting plate on my Gibson "Ultramaster." It worked perfectly, as shown in the photo above.

The diagram you have is correct for the wiring.

Thank you, sir. Guess I'll have to take Hickson to heart:

'Tis a lesson you should heed:
Try, try, try again.
If at first you don't succeed,
Try, try, try again.[

Jack,
Do your volume and tone knobs work in reverse? That's the problem I had in using this drawing. The statement "Bottom View of Baseplate" led me to believe that it was showing the flipped over plate viewing the components. Apparently not. The result was that I had to turn my volume counter-clockwise to increase and the tone counter-clockwise to add highs. Had to reverse the outside connections of all the pots. The original Fender drawing has the same note - I guess they just mean that's the bottom end of the guitar NOT the underside of the plate.
