I had this guitar built several years ago in the old shobud vintage style non pedal cabinet. Worked well with a western swing band. Hard maple body . Has a 24in scale .It has original shobud maverick key heads and kluson style tuners. Original shobud pickups , both work and a new uninstalled pair of white style shobud fingerboards. At the moment there is a problem with neck switch but both pickups check good. I have a light hard plastic shell guitar case that I used to carry it but needs to be properly padded. Has been autographed by Don Helms in April of 2006 , and Junior Brown. I just thought someone might put this guitar back to use. I just don't use it anymore . Can do PayPal also. Pm for questions. Thanks George. Pics to follow

I would like to move this guitar , what's it worth? Any offers? Nice little guitar for the non pedal player. Has a lot of shobud parts that would be worth something.

Hi George, are the legs adjustable? Did Sho Bud make this guitar, or did someone put it together for you?

Ethan, I had the hard maple body built for me then used shobud parts I had for the guitar. The key heads I got from a couple shobud maverick and the pickups were from a shobud pro1 , the fingerboards I bought new from someone here on the forum. I thought it turned out pretty well. I guess the idea was I always wanted and old non pedal shobud but didn't want to spend a couple thousand for it, so this was the next best thing. The legs were from an old rickenbacher. Then I made a threaded extension for them to use when playing standing up.

George,

Typical Pedal Steel string spacing, or wider, like a lap steel?

Thanks!

Jim the spacing I have the guitar set at now is 2 9/16 in at the nut from 1st to 10th string and behind the pickup it's 3 1/8 between 1st and 10th string . I would say it's setup more like a pedal steel. Has 24in scale. String width could be changed tho , for the nuts are made separate from the keyhead so you could make it what ever you like. I wanted it to feel more like my pedal steel so i wouldnt have as much trouble going back and forth between guitars.Let me know if you have more questions.
