This convo. came up on Facebook the other day so i thought i would start this thread. This is my top 10 Pedal Steel Guitar Solos and i would like to hear yours.

3. Night Life- Buddy Emmons (Ray Price)
4. Lost in the Feeling- John Hughey (Conway Twitty)

I like that Sonny Curtis solo. It sounds like he does a single string slide-up the Major Scale at the one part. Very cool. |

Great album. Different Kind Of Flower has one of the classic Emmons solos, too. Another sleeper from that same era: Sweet Country Music by Milton Carroll. Buddy Emmons, of course. |

These are all fantastic solos, but one I really like is George Straits "Just like my Dad" with the Big E. I really love this solo and I heard that someone asked Buddy which solo he did that he likes best and he said this was the one. I didn't hear him say that but to me,this is really a heart felt solo. |
