Thank You Ricky in advance!! Could you tell us what your favorite model Sho Bud is? An what would be your choice for the late model Sho Buds. I’m just know discovering how wonderful these Sho Buds sound. They for sure have some magic I know some have casted changer fingers maybe that helps some. Rick forgive me I looked An I see where you answered the first part of my question. I’m just excited to discover a pedal steel sound that you can play at a very low volume an get a beautiful tone.

Basically my favorite Sho~bud is any ShoBud set up properly with aluminum top fingers....so that would be the finger with a Pin to hook the string on. NOT the Slot. All the Slot fingers are the finger top make from Casted pot metal...and to me is just a non responsive to the changing of hand positions/bar pressure/placement...etc.
And those fingers came out in the '74-'75 area ; so all sho~bud's before that, are my Favorite...ha.
I don't really like a late model ANYTHING....so there ya have that.
