Can anyone provide advice on a starting point for the springs on the lowers of a '69 Fender 800 ? I've never had to do this from scratch before, but I picked this up last weekend and it needed a little bit of TLC. The existing tunings were nonsense, and most of the hardware needed to be removed for a good cleaning. I will be using standard Emmons ABC pedal changes, and the changer is the cable action double-raise/double-lower. Also, What do you like to use for lubrication points? Thanks for any help.

Does the 800 have multiple mounting points for the springs? If so, it's different from the 400's. |

Jim, it has a single row of return springs, which are attached only to the lowering fingers in the changer. I'm not sure if that's the same as the 400 though, of course the 800 has twice as many under there due to the double raise/lower. I had a 1000 about twenty years ago, but I can't remember what it looked like under there. Thanks for any help.
