They seem hard to find. I've welded them out of aluminum tubing and conduit a time or two. I believe someone made some out of PVC recently and said it worked well. Maybe they'll chime in.

| Chris could u post a picture of the camping stool . I built 125 pack a seats for Zane Beck eons ago they had folding wood legs I bet there still some around. They worked very well. Fast to set up no wing nuts. |

The legs in question are light steel frame. I dismantled and have now two separate legs to work with. I need to devise a locking system but no biggie.

| I built a pack seat about 30 years ago. I used 3/4 inch copper pipe and 90 degree elbows for legs. I sweat them together. They were a good solid leg system. I sold it about 10 years ago on E bay. Went to Japan.. |

This may seem a little strange but I have noticed that the folding walkers used by elderly folks are made very much like the folding legs on many Pack A Seats. They can be picked up at many thrift stores for almost nothing. I've seen them in chromed steel and aluminum. Some metal cutting and some fab for the braces and lock would be needed.
These are pre bent and very strong usually 3/4"-1" diam.

"EMT and conduit are quite different, with the EMT being much thicker-walled, And it polishes up like chrome. A lot harder to bend though,
