As I mentioned in another thread, I am the son of Ray Shakeshaft who was a regular member on here a few years ago. Unfortunately due to illness I am now selling his guitar collection. I should stress that I know nothing about them so I would prefer to sell them in the UK, so that anyone buying them can collect them and make sure everything is working fine and is exactly what they want. I live in Leek, North Staffordshire.

Georgeboards single 8 Looking for offers.









There are two strings missing so if anyone wants to try it please bring a set!

Sorry to hear about Ray's, health, he is a faithful GeorgeBoard Owner and a good friend.

This instrument is an Original Series 5 GeorgeBoards Console Solid 1 piece AAA Poplar Wood CNC Sculptured to shape and hand finished out with clear lacquer.
Looks to be in pristine condition.

Deluxe every thing - tuners - nut and bridge holders , precision Brass Nut and Bridge - Inlayed control knobs.
Ray made an overlay fret board that looks great , it is over our original Hula Girl Clear Polycarbonate.

22.5 scale length - some basic auto polish will clean up the finish and brass parts to a new showroom shine.

List price for this was $1250.00 usd in 2006 they tend to re sale from $800.00usd

Hopefully this information will help Martin find a new loving home for this instrument.

Thanks very much for your help. Unfortunately after suffering from multiple strokes, Ray isn't able to play anymore. He still gets a great deal of pleasure from listening to music. Yesterday we celebrated his 81st birthday. To help with the festivities friends and musicians came and put on a concert for him. A great time was had by all!
