I finally got around to slicing and dicing some field recordings I did in April. A Zoom H2 next to the pedal steel isn't the best way to record. I hope you enjoy these anyway.

First was The Rhythm Rangers, an "Americana" dance band at a popular local nightspot:

Then for a complete change of pace, Wine Country Swing played a private show with Cori Wood at a nursing home:

The steel is way too loud on the Wine Country Swing set because of mic placement. My error.

On the other hand, you can clearly hear the tone of the new Sierra S-10 through a Milkman Half & Half (Telonics pickup, volume pedal and 15" speaker). I use a Nuenabor Echelon echo on "Never No More" - dreamy! Most of the songs are swing standards but Haggard's "It's Been A Great Afternoon" shows how the Hybrid D6th can be used to get country licks.
