If it would work well I would like to add another layer of clear coat over the body of my 1974 Sho~Bud Custom Pro III. Would it be possible to come close to the original lacquer formulation?

As far as I know, it was finished in nitrocellulose lacquer.
That can be obtained from www.reranch.com

Careful! There are severe shipping and environmental restrictions on nitro.

I have NO problem getting it ordered and delivered.
Maybe it's different in Canada. Rolling Eyes

I don't think I'd want to try to ship from the U.S. to Europe but I found several shops in Sweden who sell it.
