Noisy Nashville 112 Direct Out

I'm guessing this is a take-it-to-the-tech issue but just in case there's something I can do on my own...

The direct out on my Nashville 112 is noisy - lots of hiss. I virtually never use that output but now and then it would be handy to have. Anything an electronics imbecile like me can try before handing it over to a tech?
