I picked this up used on consignment from Billy Cooper's a few months back for $250. One of the potentiometers for the no-loss steel side is a little scratchy around the "1" to "2" position (doesn't affect sound at all except to hear the scratching if adjusting it with volume pedal open). Otherwise all is working fine. Asking $200 (was asking $225) + shipping. Trades considered (Newman C6 instructional materials, effect pedals, pack a seat, etc.).

I got a Black Box and Earth Drive from Brad Sarno and no longer use this.

Description from Billy Cooper's site:

This unit, when in the Steel Mode, is similar to Goodrich’s Supersustain Matchbox, including an impedance matching tone control. In the Fuzz mode, it provides a distortion-fuzz circuit which can be adjusted from mild distortion to full fuzz by turning the Depth knob. The output level of each mode can be independently adjusted. Clips to the leg of your pedal steel. Battery Life: one year or more.

Thanks for looking!

Someone was asking about the scratchy pot on one knob, so I made this video to demonstrate:

https://youtu.be/pZ2TfLLtLRw

It's only audible (and just barely) when you're adjusting the knob with the volume pedal wide open, which I can't imagine would ever happen in the middle of a performance or recording. It doesn't affect the tone or cause any drop-out, and it's not a loud pop or anything, more like a slight "click" sound at that one spot on the dial.

I'm pretty confident that some Deoxit contact cleaner would clear up the sound altogether, but I don't have any lying around to try it out...

David,
I sent you a private email, but I don't believe it was this email.
