Considering a line 6 HX or comparable processor. Anyone have experience with these units?

Is it possible, using the multiple inputs and outputs, to assign various effects before and after the volume pedal? My amp does not have an effects loop. I’d love access to all the distortion, delays, and modulation effects, but if they have to be bunched together before or after the VP, doesn’t seem like it would be very useful. Can I program the signal chain from guitar—> processor—> VP —> processor—> amp?

Yes .. the HX gives you complete control over the signal flow including 2 external FX loops. Volume Pedal can therefore be placed before and after effects. Perfect situation for steel guitar.
