Are the following normal?

1) The Timbre control seems to act as a volume control when the dobro effect is engaged, rather than changing the tone/timbre of the effect.

2) It seems to distort when I turn the Timbre knob up enough so that the dobro effect volume and the straight steel volume sound balanced.

I have 9 volts in which have had very little use although they were installed a few weeks ago. Unless there is a current drain happening with nothing plugged in they should still be putting out the full 9v (x2). I will try with an external power supply today.

If anyone had a schematic, either factory or reverse engineered that could be a big help.

Thanks!

There is lots of info on my old thread when my MatchBro died. Thanks to Bob Lawrence who hand drew a schematic I was able to fix mine, even though the schematic he had was not exactly like mine - the original model with a tone control when not in Dobro mode.

Here's the link to my old thread, which has the schematic.
