I never noticed until I switched back to my older guitar, but the pedals in my new williams are quite stiff. Not impossible to play, but just stiffer...
So I noticed that the crosshafts to which the pedals are connected have an extra little springy thingie that I suppose add an extra umph of tension. I'm wondering if removing them will keep the instrument mechanically sound and leave the pedals a bit easier to activate.
Anybody else have a similar situation? I'll be getting in touch with bill rudolph to ask him about this, but I was just wondering if other folks have gone through something like it.

Something tells me that those springs serve a purpose, or they wouldn't be there. Please let us know what Mr. Williams tells you. |

Kiyoshi,
Bill Rudolph has a pivot point on his pedals that are farther out from the pedal bar than on most guitars. That may be part of the reason why the pedals are stiffer. I had him move my pivot point closer to the pedal bar and that made the pedals easier to stomp!
