Once again Jon Light has saved my steel guitar but from my own stupidity,I recently had a mishap with my guitar's pickup...let me rephrase that. When I set my steel up at the Denver show my Telonics 206 was touching the strings due to Delta Airlines throwing my case around??and of course I left my reading glasses at the hotel,The amazing Paul Carestia brought by the steel guitar repair kit and installed some nylon washers on the pickup and just like that I was back,So when I got home I sent the pickup back to Dave Beaty at Telonics,a couple of days later the fixed pickup returned including some washers from Dave,I got the pickup in no problem...soldering...big problem So I messaged Jon Help,So I wound up driving to Jon's place and watching him fix my bad soldering which I have no business attempting,Now I'm back, Jon is the best, and I always learn stuff weather we talk about steel guitars, black bears or music! _________________ Steeltronics Z-pickup,Desert Rose S-10 4+5,Desert Rose Keyless S-10 3+5... Aw, boogers. Give me front page reviews when I do something worthy.
It's always a great hang, Stu. Out here in the woods, there's nothing better than something like this to relieve the cabin fever and talk steel guitars and bears. And I look forward to getting a chance to get over to your place to check out the G2.
Stuff's good. |
