Here is recent video where I use my lowest strings in a Boogie Woogie pattern.(0:24) It's really easy to use when I'm not singing so I can pay full attention to the strings. But my main gig is singing and playing steel licks so my attention is often divided between the two. Steel Solo begins at 1:38 and check out the vocal harmonies after the solo (2:17) with the Boss VE2 Harmonist.

Hi Dom,
Another great post. I love all of your stuff, it has great feeling and musicality. I love that you entertain different age groups in USA.
Your 13 string tuning lends itself to comping and solo work and your vocals hit the nail every time.
I'm a transatlantic fan.
Keith.

I love the tone on those lower strings. I'm a fan of that sound. Also I'm still amazed of all your abilities, building your own steels, doing your own sound tracks, vocals while steeling, etc. You are a quite a technician.

Don; Thanks for the kind words... I am actually building another 13 string for a steel picker I just met. He wants one just like mine same tuning (with the low strings)
I am excited about the project. Every time I make another steel I want to keep it! But this time it's already spoken for. Winking
