Which ones, and how do you define "sweet"?
Some vintage ones are full sounding; some thinner/brighter. Some have long sustain, some are more percussive. And the same goes for am,ny of the better made newer ones, and even some lower-priced models.
some qualities have to do with wood; some with hardware; some pickups, and withall a combination of the three.
Out of a hundreds of different steels you'd have to be a lot more specific.
