Ok, I`m finally ready to upgrade from my Shubb bars....
I think I`d like to get a polished stainless steel bar as the plated ones seem to wear out too quickly.
Any recommendations? _________________ Olli Haavisto

I like the Beard resophonic bars. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

Just FYI -I believe all of the Shubb bars are now solid stainless steel, so if you like the shape/feel of you current bars it might be worth a look. _________________ David K |

Scheerhorn chrome is my choice, and has not worn out after 14 years. |

I think I`m going to order a polished Scheerhorn, Thanks for the advice!
I didn`t know that the more recent Shubb-Pearce bars are solid steel.
I checked and I had both.
Interestingly enough the polished SP 3 weights 4,6 oz and the plated version is 5,3 oz.
The polished SP2 weights 5,5 oz.
All on our digital kitchen scale.... _________________ Olli Haavisto

Chrome? I've never seen one in chrome, only stainless.
BTW, if anyone has a Beard shorty in stainless they want to sell - hit me! No idea when they're going to make them again, if ever. _________________ No chops, but great tone

What about one of Charlie’s? They’ve got me tempted. |
WAY too heavy for me! I much prefer 4-4.5 oz bars. I've tried a 5.5 oz and it felt like a lead bar. _________________ No chops, but great tone

I have both Jim, a stainless, and a chrome. |

I really like the Beard 2010 -- gives you an option of a different profile at each end of the bar as a bonus ! _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9
