Ok, I`m finally ready to upgrade from my Shubb bars....
I think I`d like to get a polished stainless steel bar as the plated ones seem to wear out too quickly.
Any recommendations?

Just FYI -I believe all of the Shubb bars are now solid stainless steel, so if you like the shape/feel of you current bars it might be worth a look.

I think I`m going to order a polished Scheerhorn, Thanks for the advice!
I didn`t know that the more recent Shubb-Pearce bars are solid steel.
I checked and I had both.
Interestingly enough the polished SP 3 weights 4,6 oz and the plated version is 5,3 oz.
The polished SP2 weights 5,5 oz.
All on our digital kitchen scale....

Chrome? I've never seen one in chrome, only stainless.
BTW, if anyone has a Beard shorty in stainless they want to sell - hit me! No idea when they're going to make them again, if ever.

WAY too heavy for me! I much prefer 4-4.5 oz bars. I've tried a 5.5 oz and it felt like a lead bar.

I really like the Beard 2010 -- gives you an option of a different profile at each end of the bar as a bonus !
