This is the song written by Cindy Walker and recorded by Bob Wills, The Lucky Stars, Carolyn Martin and no doubt a great many others. However, it won't be played by me because I cannot get the chord sequence down! No idea why but I am hitting mental blocks at anything that's not I, IV, V!
Does anyone know the sequence and will share or refer me to a publication?

I've just listened to three versions of this song, and they are somewhat different (not just keys... some use a VI-7, others a vi, and so forth). Here's a dumbed-down version of the original Cindy Walker version in the key of Ab. Chords inside parentheses get 2 beats instead of 4. Or in the case of the B Section, where you see 4 chords within parentheses, they each get 1 beat.
Intro:
(Ab Fm) (Bbm Eb7) :|
A Section:
(Ab Fm) (Bbm Eb7)
(Ab Bb7) Eb7
Ab Db7 (Ab Db) (Eb7 Ab) :|
B Section:
(Cm G7 Cm G7) (Cm G7)
(Cm G7) (Cm G7)
(Cm G7 Cm G7) (Cm G7)
(Cm F7/A) (Bbm7 Eb7)
Good Luck! The other versions play around with this original form, especially in the B Section. |

Here's the Lucky Stars version, in the key of D. It's a bit simpler.
Intro and A Section:
(D B7) (Em A7)
(D B7) (Em A7)
(D D7) (G Gm) D A7 :|
B Section:
F#m F#m F#m F#m
F#m F#m (A7 Adim) (Em A7)
