Up for sale is a rather unusual old Supro. This model is fairly well documented, but only as a 6-string. This is the only one I have ever seen with 7 strings, either in person or in a catalog. It's definitely factory original, though, and not a later conversion.
The pickup in this is the same as those found in late '30s New Yorkers, and it has a similarly round, mellow tone. The original Amphenol jack has been replaced with a 1/4", but everything else appears to be original. There's plenty of finish wear, but the pickup and controls work just fine.
I'm asking $SOLD including shipping. The steel comes with a modern hard case.

Is this the "strings-through" pickup? |

It is not the string-through pickup, but the under-string unit used in the bridge position on late '30s National New Yorkers. It has a warm, mellow sound like those Nationals. |
