Okay folks, we are getting ready to start bending those strings and making some good country music this coming Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the American Legion Post 593 Converse, Texas. We ask all steel players, no matter what level you are at to come and join in and play your beautiful instrument. We ask that everyone be ready to start playing at 2:00 pm. It's always fun and exciting to boot. You all come, you hear. See you there. |

Well folks, you can say that this one is saucered and blowed. This was a treat to hear these steels doing what they do best in country music. Special thanks to Billy Pheleps and his lovely wife Patty from Katy Texas. Also Jimmy Allen, Bill McCumber, Steven Cohen, and our very own Ken Metcalf all on the steels. A special thanks to our band and Mike from Corpus Christi Texas setting in on lead guitar. All and all it was a great time and looks like next month will be stellar. Until then my friends. Keep sliding those bars. |

The San Antonio steel guitar assoc. is considering a 2nd monthly meeting.
It would be a gathering / lesson for the intermediate and beginner not involving a live public performance.
This group would flexible and could evolve with the groups interest.
We would need to hear from some folks in order to get started.
Please feel free to contact for more information. |

Hi Ken, I am a new player (don't even have a PSG yet) that would be interested in this. I was able to drop in briefly last Sunday at the beginning of the meeting and enjoyed what I heard! I live in the Leon Springs area so it's a bit of a drive, but I'd do it. |
