I need to remove the seat and back rest from my Cush Case seat to have them re-covered. How do these come apart? Does the foam have to be removed on the inside of the seat to separate the seat and get to the back rest screws? I appreciate any help on this.

Can't say I've ever had a Cush Case seat apart, but judging by the photos in Fred Wurtz's seat for sale and my past experience working on other seats:

Open the lid. You should be able to carefully pull the lining down and access the screws underneath the lining that hold the entire seat cusion and back rest to the frame.

Looking again at Fred's photos, the back rest hinges appear to be riveted to the seat and back rest. Probably have to drill those out to separate from the hinges.

You can probably dowel those holes on re-assembly and just use screws to fasten it back.

Provided yours is the same as Fred's, that's how it appears to me....
