Not a new product but new packaging. I’d recently, upon two separate occasions gotten some .011 gauge strings that had spots of rust on them. After going back to the supplier they put me in contact with the good folks at S.I.T. Both times they replaced my strings and even sent me extras. They are now packaging their strings in sealed packaging. Great folks at S.I.T. and great strings. Plus they really do “Stay In Tuneâ€.

I've been using "S.I.T. Strings" for many years and have
tried almost all of the others but always go back to S.I.T
They do stay in tune and last a long time and don't break.
The new sealed packs don't have any rust or pits on them.

| I've had the same rusty spots on the S.I.T strings I've used. I never thought of calling the manufacturer but it's not a bad idea. The real problem for me on (2) Emmons LGII's is I break an awful lot of strings. Sometimes just putting on a replacement, the new one breaks so I gave up with them. |

I've used S.I.T strings for years. I wouldn't use any other kind.

Since I changed my brand of strings a few years ago, I seldom if ever break a string before I just change the whole set. I know S.I.T strings are a popular brand and I'm not knocking them. Out of courtesy I have not mentioned the brand I switched to using. Simply trying to politely state my observations. |

I know they're a good string.I can't use the high carbon steel strings, like SIT. I tried them when they hit the market and tried again last year. My PH is acidy or something like that? I play one night on them and my hands get black and the bar drags like sandpaper. I can clean them with an alcohol rag and they're good for a while. I always go back to stainless wound GHS and never have any problems.

I have used LAY'S SIT Strings off and on my 6 strings for years. I have used SIT Stainless Wound strings on my GFI S12U since Dec 2016 with no problems.
Knock ON Wood, I have not had a SIT string break on this GFI in 1 1/2 years of playing it. |

I have used other major brands and always go back to the Emmons series(SIT).They last just as long as those other brands and not nearly as expensive.Once they stretch and
settle in, they really do stay in tune. Love em!!
