Was trying to downsize selling off items I would never use. Then this pops up on Boston Craigslist. 1964 Fender Bandmaster 2nd owner. The seller, a very decent knowledgeable fellow had the amp for 20 years in his home. Had it recapped, retubed and a 3 prong cord replaced and gave me all replaced parts. In the CL post, there were pics of the inside chassis. No scuffs or tears in the tolex and operation is very quiet, no static or pops.
So much for downsizing 🤓

Len, I share your weakness and have fell to temptation more then once. Love finding a super clean old Fender. I now have 2 Bassman amps, 2 Twin Reverbs, and a slew of other large amps I can barely carry. Congratulations on a sweet find. |

That was indeed a great find specially if you got it for a good price. I have never owned an Amp like the Fender Bandmaster. I think it's great to find something like that and I congratulate you on your obtaining such a find. _________________ Played the Steel from 1948. I was a young teen watching The Beach Boys on TV with Fender amps tilted back on stage. The local music store had a Fender Bandmaster and as I remember the price tag was $400. Way out of reach for a kid with a paper route. 54 years later a dream comes trueðŸ‘G

That looks like a museum quality item. It can only go up in value. I wonder what the Antiques Roadshow would say about it. _________________ It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. |
