Clint is going to be in town this june. Is he still using a steel guitar player? If so, does anyone know who it is? Thanks...rj |

I would think that Jeff Peterson is the steel guitar;
He has been with Clint for a lot of years.
Should be there......... |

FWIW, last Satuday night I saw Clint and his band featured on some PBS songwriter showcase tv show. He didn't have a pedal steel player but his songwriting partner, Hayden Nicholas played the heck out a Strat. Dwayne Rowe, Brooks and Dunn's longtime band leader was on keys and a utility player (didn't catch the name) who played banjo, fiddle, dobro, and some rock influenced lap steel.
I believe a post here a couple years ago indicated that Jeff Peterson was no longer with Clint as he decided to drop steel from his road band. Nevertheless, if it's the band that was on the tv show, you will enjoy it.
Funny thing, hearing Clint's songs again made me feel old. But then, it was almost 30 years whe he was hot. Time marches on.... _________________ Bill Cunningham

I've posted this before... But I saw Clint live in August 2016, and there was NO STEEL. The signature steel lines were all played on a keyboard. Maybe he's changed his lineup since then, but I wouldn't bet on it. Great show though, Clint's worth seeing anyway. |
