Playing some dates in the second half of April in Germany. Seeing if there's any way to rent or borrow an amp while there(or an extension cab). Amp would be for a D10 pedal steel. I'm open to solid state or tube, peavey, fender... It's a shot in the dark.
Thanks!!! Smile

For what it's worth, last time I was over there I think the rental fee (from a backline company) was around 300 euro for about a two week tour. So... not really cheap at all. Unfortunately, logistics usually end up being the deciding factor. The group I'm in has a bunch of gear stashed in the UK but sometimes we can't get to it.

Hi norbert! I'm playing with todd day wait's pigpen. We'll be playing hamburg, kassel, berlin, frankfurt, gottingen, and jesteburg and then more dates in Italy. Where in Germany are you?

Brett, appreciate the input. I'm starting to wonder if it'd be worth it to buy an amp and just leave it there for the next euro run...

Nikolai,

I see that you kick off the tour in Kassel which only is a 40 minute drive from Göttingen where you play your penultimate gig. I used to work for a small festival in that area and if I’m not mistaken we always borrowed a couple of Fender twins from Farm Sound in Kassel (http://www.farm-sound.de/Rental.html). I would just drop them a line and ask what they have available and maybe they can pick it up in Göttingen again, then you only need to find something for Frankfurt, but the Dreikönigskeller may even have their own backline.

If that doesn't work you could get in touch with my friends from Glitterhouse Records, they also have a backline for their touring bands and may have something available.

I might catch you in Berlin!
