By the way, this recording has some of Nashville's finest musicians available and my dear friend John Hughey helped with the final mix and liner notes, something I'm so proud of and deeply appreciate.
Larry Paxton, bass
Jimmy Capps, guitar
Kerry Marx, guitar
John Gardner, drums
Bob Patin, piano |

My copy of this album is just about worn out. It spends most of its time in my CD player in the car.
Any thoughts on bringing out another album Tommy? _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator. Telonics TCA-500, Webb 614-E, |

Steve,
Thank you my friend!
Bob Kramer,
Thanks for posting the song titles. So nice.
Miss seeing you at the Opry ol' pal.
Ken,
Thanks so much for the support. I'm sure we will do another CD someday when our budget and time allows! Could be a while . |

I ordered & quickly received the By Request package. Of course, it is needless for me to say what great picking is provided here by Tommy White; but for those that may not be familiar with this music, I'll stress that you'll have to go a long way to hear any finer. The TAB book is actually more detailed than I ever expected, making the learning of this material much easier. Some of the tunes offered here will also be quite a challenge to pick up....at least for my personal skills. Don't pass up the opprotunity to get hold of this material. I extend a huge Thank You to the Whites for reissuing this package.

Joe,
Thank you for your inquiry. The CD, tracks and companion tab book are a variety of C6th and E9th tunings. The more country songs feature E9th that can be played with a fairly basic set up of 3 floor pedals and 4 knee levers with exception of lowering the B strings to A and a split on the G# to F#. The more swingy/pop stardards are C6th, all of which can be played with the standard copedent.
Aki,
I believe my copedent is posted on this forum, although I'm not sure what section.
Thanks again to everyone! |

I'm trying to reach out to see if there is any chance that the By Request CD has had a recent pressing. I've been looking for a copy ever since I joined the Forum a year or two ago with no luck. Any ideas out there? Maybe if enough pre-orders were generated? |

Also if anyone has suggestions for CDs that are predominantly Tommy White features or solo efforts, I would sure appreciate hearing about them. |

If you don't own this CD package its time to treat yourself.... Tommy White's playing is soulful throughout and his musical ideas are intellectually inspirational.

Paul, thanks for your reply and comments, no argument here. And speaking of Soulful and inspirational, there's not a day goes by that I'm not rewinding something you've played just to enjoy it again. You and Tommy playing together is Best of the Best. |

Thanks to all for the posts and messages trying to aid and encourage this Quest. Got to love the steeler community. I just got a nice email from Jeff at Show Pro guitars informing me that they no longer carry the CD or companion materials. Back to square one I guess. |
