Here's my take on "Pua Rose" also known as "Dargie's Hula" The guitar is one that I built some time back. C6 tuning.

Beautiful song, outstanding playing and tone, and what a good looking guitar. You have done yourself proud! Where did you get the backing track?

I make the backing tracks. I play the individual parts into the synths you see in the video.
That is an Alumitone P90 Riffian. I like hot pickups. For me it helps me get that old time tone.
Again, thank you all for the appreciation.

Kevin,
Is there any way you would want to sell or share the backing track for this beautiful song? I am having a hard time finding tracks like this to play along with. Any help appreciated.

Gee Steve, I would happily share the tracks but honestly I just don't know how. The synths that I'm using are some old technology. They have a sequencer on board and I play each track into that. If I think of a way to get the tunes out I'll let you know.

Hi Kevin,
I have been listening to this many times in a row. Love it! Any chance of posting more pictures of your sweet guitar. Especially interested in the bridge.

Any questions , just ask. The bridge in 3/16 thick aluminum. I routed a slot into the body and pressed the bridge in. That's it.

Thanks for posting the pics, Kevin. You have come up with a very clean and elegant look. Does the Alumitone mount like a P90 with the two adjusting screws? I like the fact there is no mounting ring.

Thank you all for the appreciation. I'm grateful. The Alumitone P90 mounts just like any P90, just the two screws. Again, Lace offers two Alumitone P90s. A standard P90 and the very high output P90 Riffian. I'm using the P90 Riffian on this guitar. One other thing..I am also using a Boss GE-7 EQ pedal to make up for what my amp can't deliver. I like bottom end.

Hi Kevin,
I was inspired to try a Alumitone P90 based on your video. I am still trying to decide what guitar to try it out in. I am wondering what value pots and cap you used. I am guessing 500K pots and a .05mf cap or so.

Hey Steve, I honestly forgot what I used. I'll have to pull the guitar out and look at it. I'll get back you on that. although the 500K pot sound about right.

Thanks Kevin! I would appreciate it. Not to be a burden, but is there any chance you have tab for this enchanting tune? I am getting stuck in a few places.

I've no tab for this. This is just my own arrangement. If you watch the video it should come to you. Just copy the bar positions. I steal so much off YouTube that way myself. You've got to know the tuning being used and the chord changes/progression. If you email after Saturday I'll send you the chord changes if you don't already have them figured out. If you've any other questions I'll be happy to answer them.

Thanks, Kevin. Believe me I have watched numerous times. I am sure something will click one of these times. I am assuming you are using some split slants?

Hey Kevin,
After seeing your video I was enticed to invest in a pickup like yours. Looking at the wiring options it appears you can do a coil split like other 5 wire humbuckers. Wondering if you added that option. I did not see a mini toggle on your guitar, but thought I would ask. I was hoping to put it in my 46 Rick Academy project, but it will not fit. I have now decided to put it into a 41 National New Yorker project I have been working on.
