Ok. There is a great chance it's user error,but I have tried multiple guitars and cables,and I'm not getting any output from a session 2000. It powers up and all the pretty lights work, but no sound comes out. Could it be in some kind of edit mode or something?

Try reinitializing the amp by using the following procedure;
Turn the Session 2000 off. While holding both the down and right arrow buttons on the front panel, power up the unit by turning on the front panel switch, the letting go of the down and right arrow buttons. Your amplifier is now reset to original factory specs.

If the same symptoms are still present, take your amp to an authorized Peavey Service Center, or call me at the factory for further directions. My number is 1-877-732-8391, ext. 1180.

If that doesn't resolve these symptoms, it might be a corroded battery. Call me after you've checked that out.
