How do you tell the difference between a 710 and an XR16? They both look the same don't they? _________________ Dick Lotspeich |

If the pickup is removed, it is usually marked on the bottom. |

What Morton says is the only way I know of. Yes, they are identical in appearance and if there is no label, I don't know any other way to tell.
Does anyone know if impedance readings would indicate anything? |

Bill Lawrence didn't use the DC wire resistance as a parameter so measuring the "ohms" won't tell anything. |

Just got one I thought was a 710.Checks high on the meter. No markings. Stickers are gone. Would be a thought,,that if the sticker came off,,and I was the one that KNEW what it was, I'd sharpie it on the bottom. Thanks for the info so far. _________________ Dick Lotspeich |

FWIW My XR16 measures 28K ohms (28,000).
