Two Black Widow 12 in. speakers in cabinets.
1 ea. 80's era 1201-8ohm alum. dome and 1 ea. 1203-4ohm pre-Kevlar paper dome from the 90's steel guitar application.
Good condition. 2nd. gen. pre Kevlar, paper cones. Great sounding drivers for steel or guitar.
I have 2 sets of cabinets I can load these into.
2 rectangular boxes, one built by TubeWorks, the other rectangular one is my own construction from pine and gray carpet. Metal hardware, strap handles. Approx. dim. 17.5 Hi x 19W x 11.5-12 D inches.
There are also 2 of my own construction kick back, closed back & ported, monitor style covered in black carpet, with a combination of metal and plastic hardware. The kick backs are poly-fill insulated and come with a spring loaded handle on the bottom for positioning to the player in addition to the other 2 angled positions inherent to the cabinet design. These are great just to place behind you or in front of you monitor style. No stands needed. Approx. dims. 19W x 14.5D x 18 Hi [16 Hi smaller one]
I have 2 HD chrome grilles I can sub for the black ones if you like more bling.
Sold in pairs, either cabinet style loaded with one 1201-8 and one 1203-4. Whichever pair sells, I'll be keeping the other for now.
$225 ea. loaded cabinet. Don't want to ship these but in that event, insured FedEx shipping cost is on the buyer....pick them up here or I can meet you somewhere if you're close enough. PM with interest, questions, etc.
The rectangular ones are basically the same size, while one of the kick-backs is smaller than the other. This was intentional in design to enhance the stereo effect of my 2 channel rigs. They are also a bit heavier than the rectangulars. All are front loaded.

$400 pr. and I'll meet a buyer halfway in the region. i.e. Nashville, Cincy, Indy etc.
Original 96 oz. magnets. Not featherweights, but not wimpy sounding either. Big robust sounding Vintage speakers from the halcyon era of Black Widows for guitar and steel. |
